Anne Dolling

The first thing that comes to mind about Anne’s art is that it is pure.  Rather than being “abstract,” we might more accurately describe it as inspired or inspirational. It is bold and delicate, at times fierce and often sweet. People see in it different things and, as with all art, they see themselves reflected in it.  Interestingly enough, Anne has always been fascinated by mirrors and shadows and colors.  Anne has started painting while listening to music, recently flute music, especially jazz.  Anne’s first love, after all, is music, all kinds of music, she had a rock & roll phase, a classical music phase, a jazz phase, saxophone, cello, violin, piano, drums, and now, flute. So, another way to describe Anne’s art is to call it musical. Anne’s art does not conform to media or specialization. At the moment she is mostly painting and has started working with glass at Imagine Art.Anne will be launching a new business in 2012 called “Anne’s Hands”. Stay tuned for more information!
