Despite her California birthplace in 1979, Elana is Austin through and through. Elana lives with her family and is challenged by the daily constraints of autism. Autism has stolen her voice physically, but creatively she is a force to be reckoned with – as both a poet and a painter. She has developed a style of abstract spirals using oil bars and liquid watercolor. The outcomes are unique and expressive. Artistically she is prolific and she has just begun!
