It all starts with A Vision.

And Executive Director (& Patron Saint • Plate Spinner) Debbie Kizer has had one for many years.  She knew she wanted A Place. Where artists with disabilities could come Together. And BE. In Community. And Create. And Thrive. And Grow Together.
A Place to Live & Make .. & Call Home.

Well, It Is Happening.

There is a pecan grove on the land donated to Imagine Art by the city of Austin.

IMAGINE ART broke ground February 23 in its new future home of five acres adorned with beautiful, strong Pecan trees in East Austin’s TILLERY Street.

The City of Austin has unprecedentedly gifted them this Land. To Build A 60 unit Complex of Affordable/Low-Income Housing for Artists & Families complete with Studio Space & A Gallery, Communal Kitchen, Offices, & Open Land to Enjoy.

This did not happen without Much Laboring of Love, Faith, Perseverance, Showing Up, Putting in the Hours/PaperWork, Community Contacts & Connections, Prayers, Blood/Sweat/Tears .. All These Years.

Debbie is a humble woman. She is also very dedicated & abiding. She Listens. She Sees. She Waits. She Trusts. Then She Moves. Allowing God to Guide Her. We have learned a lot from Debbie & have been graced by her. EnCouraged. BeWildered. And InSpired.

It’s a wonder how she keeps it all together & going, but somehow she does.

Everyone who knows her is happy & proud for what is taking place for a truly special & deserving organization…& a Director/Leader/Saint named Debbie.

Consider a donation to IMAGINE ART as they continue to improve job readiness skills of their clients and bring beauty to the world through their art.

Everyone who attended the ceremony brought with them affirming attitudes and left with a bright view of the future.
