Fine Arts Studio
Imagine Art’s working art studio serves over 65 artists, with and without disabilities.
- THE PROGRAM -
The Fine Arts studio offers 2 creative space where artists work to create bodies of work for exhibition and micro business development. Artists access opportunities for art classes, 1:1 coaching and mentoring as well as opportunity and resources.
PURPOSE
Our Fine Arts program empowers artists with disabilities to equally access arts opportunities alongside their non-disabled peers. We focus on teaching job readiness skills and providing a full spectrum of support services, that include artistic direction for production, exhibition, and micro-business development.
STORY
Our Fine Arts Studio was born from a desire to see artists with and without disabilities thrive in a creative space together. In 2019 our studio began to partner with AmeriCorps Central Texas. AmeriCorps provides Imagine Art with service members who teach art classes and facilitate one-on-one artist growth and development. We currently have 17 members serving artists in our Fine Art Studio program.
SERVICES
Artists who register for our Fine Art Studio program will access our free public studio to participate in a job readiness program offering professional development in painting, drawing, textiles, 3-D mixed-media and ceramics. Artists receive individual consultations with our Artists in Residence in efforts to increase their job readiness for micro-business launch.
