Glenn Newman is a mixed media artist who uses a variety of materials to produce his unique artwork. His latest piece utilizes a bowling pin to make a holiday snowman. Glenn likes the snowy colors, as well as the paper eyes, feet and the arms he attached to it. He entered it to Dougherty Art Center’s latest exhibition. Finding IA online, he easily enrolled in the program. Coming from the ARC of the Arts, Glenn prefers IA because they provide more materials. The type of materials he uses is very important to him because he finds inspiration in them. An athlete, Glenn does Special Olympics for McBeth, participating in softball, basketball, volleyball and golf. Since Glenn has never worked with clay, he looks forward to participating in the ceramics studio.
