ARTIST ENROLLMENT

Each day we help artists in the art-making process and work hard to create an atmosphere that invites fun and fellowship.

ARTIST PROFILE

Artist engagement is the heart of what we do here at Imagine Art. We are seeking artists in pursuit of authentic life inside a community that value art, disability, and ministry. We are a diverse community—a mixture of artists with and without disabilities. The classes are for any artist who wishes to grow in their discipline, alongside other artists.

 What does it cost?

Artists with disabilities will receive the benefits of free professional materials, artistic direction and personalized support including attendant care and supervision from our trusted staff. Artists without disabilities are asked to provide their own art materials and to give back to our community by volunteering an average of four hours per week. All artists have access to exhibit opportunities

SERVICES + PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Artists who register for the Art Program will have access to virtual skill building classes in one of five disciplines: painting, drawing, textiles, 3-D, or ceramics. Upon entering the program, our Art Directors will work with each artist to develop a personalized art plan, which will set the course for individual growth in art skills and professional development.

In addition to the art classes, throughout the week there will also be opportunity sessions (workshops, guest lectures, peer support, etc.) and weekly opportunities for one-on-one consultation with our Artists in Residence.

Our application for artist enrollment will re-open in late 2020 for a January 2021 start date.

If you are interested in applying, you will need to submit a one time $10 application fee as well as a sample of your work. Each artist must have a face-to-face interview to determine how the artist will engage in the space and discuss scheduling and commitment. The application process is the same for artists with and without disabilities.

If you are an artist with a disability who is in need of supervision or support, Imagine Art offers Day Habilitation and Respite services.
