In Early September 2020 - Imagine Art received notice from the Austin Housing Finance Corporation that we won the RFP award for the 1127 Tillery Street Pecan Grove.  On September 17th, AHFC finalized the award during a city council meeting.  Between September and December - Imagine Art and MRE negotiated and execute the contract for the project. With an expected finish date in 2024, we aim to establish our multi-acre campus that offers 66 units of deeply affordable housing (30/50 and 60% AMI), anchored by 8500 SqFt of public, creative space. Imagine Art has held on to God’s promise of this property since 2018.

We are delighted to announce that on Dec 2, 2022, Austin Housing Finance Corporation awarded $6.5 million dollars for the building of the 66 unit campus. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs is providing 4% tax credits for the project. We close on our construction loans on Jan 16, 2023 and break ground shortly thereafter.
