Chalk and Walk

On October 4th outside of the St. Luke’s studio, the Peer Support Team held a Peer Support Popup called “Chalk and Walk”.  Artists joined us to draw pictures on the basketball court with chalk while others enjoyed drawing on a picnic table covered in white construction paper. Artists drew stars, moons, rainbows, dogs, etc. Participants mingled and played music by connecting their tablets with bluetooth to Imaginebr Art’s karaoke machine.

Eli’s, Americorp Member, Hand Art

Liz, Americorps Member, drawing chalk art

A’Laura, Imagine Art artist, drawing her masterpiece

After lunch the artists and Americorps members took a walk around the block. The  artists chose which peer support activities they wanted to participate in.  The Peer Support Team learned that it was important to give the artists choices. Not everyone wanted to draw and not everyone wanted to walk.
