Artist Bio

Courtney Cook is relatively new to Imagine Art. She first moved to Austin from Dallas by way of California in November of 2021. Her mother soon found out about Imagine Art as the place to send her prodigious daughter, an artist who is highly gifted in drawing and painting. A perfectionist by nature, she takes the time needed to get each piece just to her liking. She snaps lots of photos on her phone for ideas and inspiration. Courtney excels in plein air, animal portraits and still-life, and has a command of the gouache painting method. Her Christmas painting, Cabin in Woods, is delicately done, skillfully honoring the stillness of the full moon night glowing over the snow and river.
