ARTIST BIO

Rodney Morgan has a natural gift for interpreting the world around him in a fun, lively, and charismatic way. A thoughtful painter, Rodney uses bold brushstrokes within an array of colors. He depicts patterns and shapes to ultimately create a fantastical version of local cityscapes and the life he experiences therein. A prime example is his acrylic piece called San Antonio where he creates a lighthearted rendition of the historic Alamo landmark  surrounded by icons of modern culture. In the foreground vehicles appear detached from the street as if floating. The blue and red stones of the mission’s wall accentuate the whimsical nature of the work. Rodney loves Waterloo Records and saves his money for concerts.
