Fine Arts Program 2nd Trimester Update
As we welcome 2021, we begin the Second Trimester of the AmeriCorps Program Year. During the First Trimester our AmeriCorps Members worked with Imagine Art Artists to improve their art making skills, habits and practices. The Second Trimester will be focused on “Production” with the intent of helping our Artists develop substantial and coherent bodies of work.
Members will serve in a mentor capacity, guiding artists as they create their work. While we will maintain a daily class schedule, One-on-One service will take precedent; providing guidance, securing materials and helping in establishing home studios. We will continue to work online via ZOOM and Google Meets and where possible will expand our in-person services.
We have adjusted our schedule to better serve our Artists by providing more concentrated attention on the individual. We will hold a weekly Show and Tell and an opportunity/community art making session where all the Artists can work on the same project or experience the same opportunity simultaneously.
Imagine Arts Exhibits Team will continue their focus on inventorying new work that is produced and establish a regular schedule for featuring new work on our website and social media.
They will also begin developing processes for the Third Trimester which begins in April. Our focus will be on preparing the artists to exhibit and sell their work, through marketing and web-based development and promotion.
The Imagine Art AmeriCorps Program, its Members and staff are excited to move into this next phase of our program plan. We look forward to serving our community of artists, assisting them to achieve their artistic goals and helping to enrich their lives through their art practice and fellowship.
