Justin Maynard started writing with stories when he was seven years old. He also began to draw dragons . . . and more dragons. He just loved drawing dragons. But along with dragons came violence and gore. Eventually his family  convinced him to stop writing scary stories and maybe start writing adventure or fantasy stories. So that's what he did, and now he can't stop. He loves using his learning and words to create a good story.

He has been drawing and writing his entire life. When he creates stories, he wants people to understand what the words are saying. He draws pictures to represent what the words mean. After writing the story into words, he tries to understand the drawing that is forming the words.
